What's Special About the Newstead Public Library

The Newstead Public Library is located in the heart of the village of Akron. We are just a short walk from the historical Octagon House and village shops. At the Library you will always be greeted with a smile and a helpful hand.  For the charm and feel of a hometown library, stop in and visit the Newstead Public Library.

    Friends of the Library

We have a very supportive Friends of the Library group that sponsors a used book sale in the Spring and Fall. There are three ways to become involved as a Friend: (1) as a member, (2) as a donor, and/or (3) as a volunteer. Please contact the Newstead Public Library for more information on how to become involved.
