Located near the intersection of Bullis Road and Two Rod Road (Route 358) in the Town of Marilla. Handicapped accessible. Parking lot available. Drop box available.

Public Access Computers: 8 computers, including 2 laptops, networked. Microsoft Office Applications and Internet Access. Printing from the computer: B&W 10 cents per page, color 25 cents per page.  "What can I do at a Public Access Computer?"

Copy machine available, copies 15 cents each for letter size.

A Meeting Room is available for Library Programs and may be used by nonprofit organizations and groups.  A Meeting Room Application must be completed.  Meeting Room Application and Rules of Use (pdf)


Friends of the Marilla Free Library

The Friends of Marilla Free Library is an active group coordinating and promoting community activities at the library. They hold a book sale as an annual event in the fall.  The Friends raise money to support the library and children's programs.  The Firends have sponsored the Make a Graham Cracker Program and Lego Club. The Friends of Marilla Free Library are always looking for new members. Please consider being a Friend of the Library!

    Unearth a Story Summer Reading Programs

    Registration is required for all programs.

     

    Independent Reading Programs for all ages. Reading logs will be available starting June 29th. 

    Summer Badging Program for all ages. Complete challenges to earn badges to put on your lanyard. 

     

    June Programs

    America 250 Hydro Painting

    On Tuesday, June 30th at 6:00 pm for ages 7 to 15. We will create a red, white and blue marbled design using hydro dipping techniques and acrylic nail polish. All supplies will be provided. Registration is required. Please call or stop by the library to register.

     

    July Programs

    Storytime with Ms. Shannon

    Mondays at 11:00 am for ages 3 to 5. Join us for stories, games, and a craft. Registration is required for individual dates. Dates and themes are listed below:

    Glow Dinosaur Stepping Stones

    Join Ms. Shannon on Thursday, July 9 at 2:00 pm to make a special garden stepping stone that will include dinosaurs that glow in the dark! For ages 5 to 12. Registration is required.

     

    Jurassic Journeys: Extravaganza Experience Presented by Cris Johnson

    On Tuesday, 14 at 2:00 pm join us for a dinosaur show that will feature music, humor, fun magic, lifelike dinosaurs that roar, audience participation and more!  This program is recommended for ages 4 and up. Registration is required. There will also be fossil replicas, lifelike Velociraptor, a baby T-Rex and baby Stegosaurus.     Dino Egg: Bath Bombs

    On Thursday, July 16 at 2:00 pm make your own bath bombs with hidden dinosaur surprises inside! For ages 7 to 15. We will provide all the materials. Space is limited. Registration is required.

     

    Book Bedazzle

    Join us on Thursday, July 23rd for a DAZZLING book program! Bring your own book from home to decorate the cover with crystals & gems. You bring the book, we’ll provide the bling!  This program is only for ages 12 and up. Registration is required and space is limited.     Dino Bites

    Join Ms. Shannon on Wednesday, July 29 at 2:00 pm as we make dinosaur themed snacks and treats! For ages 5 to 12. Supplies will be provided. Space is limited. Registration is required.

     

    Lego Night

    Thursday, July 30 at 6:00 pm for ages 5 to 11. We will make cool creations to display in the library! Registration is required. Please call or stop by the library to register.

    Repco Wildlife presents Unearth a Story

    Join us on Wednesday, August 5 at 1:00 pm for an adventure back in time when Repco Wildlife presents UNEARTH A STORY! This interactive reptile program features ten animals from around the world and real fossils. Learn about how these fantastic, living animals share fascinating connections to the past.     T-Rex Tea Party

    This T-Rex themed tea party is sure to be a roar! Join Ms. Shannon on Thursday, August 6 at 2:00 pm. There will be stories, activities, games, and a craft. Light refreshments will be served. Kids are encouraged to dress up in tea party attire, dinosaur costumes, or both! For ages 3 to 10. Registration is required.     Dino Eyes

    Join Ms. Shannon for this craft event on Tuesday, August 11 at 2:00 pm. For ages 7 to 15. We will make dinosaur eye magnets, using clay and paint. Registration is required. For more information or to register call the library at 716-652-7449.

    Marilla Free Library Book Club

    The book club meets in the library meeting room on the fourth Tuesday of the month.  The next meeting on will be on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 2:00 pm.  The book title that will be discussed is TBD.     Friends of the Library Meeting Information

    The Friends of the Marilla Free Library will be having in-person meeting on July 14 at 7 pm.  New or interested members are welcome.  The meeting will be held at the Marilla Free Library in the meeting room.  Please call the library at 652-7449 for more information.    

     

     
    New Learning Kits

    Now available for check out at the Marilla Free Library!  These kits enrich STEAM activities for children. All kits are a 7-day loan period.  Only one kit can be checked out at a time and must be checked out on an adult card.  The Learning kits must be borrowed from and returned to the Marilla Free Library.  Stop by or call for more information.

    Lawn Games

    The Marilla Free Library has lawn games available for a 7-day loan period. 

    We have Yardzee / Farkle, Bocce Ball, Jenga, Croquet, Viking Bowling, Kan Jam, and Ladder Ball. 

    Items must be borrowed from and returned to the Marilla Free Library with an Adult Card.  Stop by the library or call for more information.
